Vegas here we come!
We are ecstatic to announce that we will be bringing our mission not only to Interbike this year, but also to the children of Las Vegas. Like last year, we are making the trip to Vegas for Interbike 2011, but this year we are bringing something very important…BOOKS! On Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. we will be delivering books Peterson Elementary School in Las Vegas. Peterson is a Safe Routes for Schools school and they encourage walking and biking to school. We have formed a great partnership with the Clark County School District and they are showing amazing support for this delivery. We are also teaming up with the young ladies of MAGIC 6 elite Jet Cycling Team. These young cyclists range from ages 15-18 and excel not only on the bike, but also academically. They will be marshaling our Las Vegas delivery.
We are limiting the ride to 100 riders so if you plan on attending Interbike and want to participate, please do not wait. All riders will receive a special Ride for Reading t-shirt, custom Ride for Reading socks from our title sponsor Swiftwick, as well as a chance to win a ton of schwag.

Matthew and all,
GREAT event today in Vegas! Thank you for your efforts to help the children in Southern Nevada stay safe, healthy and educated. We look forward to a return trip.
I talked to a fellow at the RFR booth at Interbike in Vegas last week about possible book dropoff points in So. California. I can’t find any info about Cali action. I’ve got access to books and need more info.
Let me know.
David
