65 volunteer cyclists, including Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, Nashville Bicycle Alliance,  the Green Angels, and Veloteers, joined together to donate almost 2,000 books to children from the Martha O’Bryan center in East Nashville on Saturday, July 21, 2012!  We were excited to use a 5.5 mile stretch of Nashville’s nicest greenway system in combination with a great bike lane.  We arrived at the Martha O’Bryan center to excited children and parents alike.  Mayor Dean addressed them with a challenge to continue reading and trying to live healthy.  It was a great day for Ride for Reading and the children we served!
