Team Niner-Ergon 2010

Team Niner-Ergon, a successful professional mountain bike team, has chosen to endorse Ride for Reading in their 2010 race season.  They are going to assist RfR with our mission by bringing attention to the much needed fight for literacy! Dejay Birtch, Single Speed USA champion of Team Niner-Ergon says, “I hope one day, that the kids can turn the pages of a book as fast as we can turn the pedals!”  We would like to thank Team Niner-Ergon for all of their support and we wish them the best of luck in the 2010 race season!

Mark Cleveland, the CEO of Swiftwick Int., donated a 4,000 sq/ft home to Ride for Reading.  The building will be used for storing, sorting, and distributing books to the children in Nashville.  Mark stated, “Mat has a passion for mountain bikes and youth education with the energy to inspire everyone around him to work together to motivate the imagination of our next generation.  The team at Swiftwick has that same intensity and focus on excellence.  We are passionate about what it means to make and buy products Made In Tennessee.  We all need to help people like Matt break through so that tomorrows leaders, athletes, educators, inventors and entrepreneurs can continue to make Made in America mean something.”  We are also proud to have Swiftwick producing custom Ride for Reading socks!!!

Willow Koerber

Willow Koerber has shown her support for Ride for Reading with her donation of merchandise that we will be giving away.  She said, “Reading opens up the doorways of your mind and expands your imagination.  I hope to encourage children to put not limits on their dreams!”  We thank her for her support and wish her the best of luck in the 2010 racing season.

Erin Mirabella

Olympic Cyclist and Children’s Book Author

Erin Mirabella said, “I wanted to write children’s books so I could share my Olympic experiences and lessons with kids.  I want to share these with all kids, not just the ones who are lucky enough to have book at home and parents who read to them.  Ride for Reading makes that possible.  What better gift, than the gift of reading; through books you can give kids the whole world!”  You can always support her and us by purchasing and donating one of her books.
